• ABOUT ME

I'm Amy,
PR Professional.

I’m an Atlanta-based public relations consultant with experience in building products, manufacturing, and other commercial channels. I love communicating on behalf of companies and have a degree in PR from Auburn University. (War Eagle!) When I’m not writing or advising on marketing communications, I enjoy dancing, coaching, painting and hanging with my cat, Edith.

Raised in the South, I love the culture and have fond memories playing in the woods and picking blackberries for my mom to make jam. Though, some of my favorite memories were made right here in Atlanta, working for amazing people and important industries like construction, real estate, hospitality and restaurants.

Allow me to show you what I can bring to your team. Please contact me to schedule an interview or a consultation at amyschutt94@gmail.com.

I strive to make myself and my company the best. As editor of a PR agency’s weekly newsletter, I updated the layout and added a new section, which lead to outreach from subscribed journalists. At another firm, I initiated a project to use a more efficient media, data-storage system than what was currently in place.

Auburn University '18, Bachelor of Arts

Public Relations

In college, I studied communications, art and French. I made the switch to public relations after pursing a supply chain degree and discovering that I was fascinated by how people interact with and consume information. All of the disciplines I studied prepared me to work as a PR professional by deepening my understanding of that industry, and business, in general.

Fench

To give my French minor the old college try, I studied in Paris for a summer. Though I wouldn’t call myself a francophone, I feel confident in my ability to order bread en français.

Art

Halfway through undergraduate, I decided to add a studio art minor. I loved to create when I was young (making furniture for my dolls, jewelry for friends, drawings for family, etc.) and missed that experience. So, I left Auburn with a painting minor, which not only gives me joy, but a thorough understanding of visual communication.

Coach

Miraculously, I managed to juggle an eclectic course load and graduate with honors, all while performing with the Auburn University Marching Band Flag Line.

In fact, I started to coach high school colorguard while in college and continue to do so today. I love this job because I get to collaborate with amazing people and be creative. Most of all, I love fostering young men and women into wonderful adults.

Dance

Though I love coaching, once a performer, always a performer! I still kick up my heels through swing, blues and Latin dance. I try to attend as many workshops, lessons and events as I can, sometimes attending three events a week.

Run

Generally, I like to be active. For years, I’ve participated in the Fiesta 5K in Cumming, Georgia, which benefits the Emory ALS Center. Gradually, our little group has grown from just me to 20 people.

Though the Fiesta 5K is my favorite, I continue to participate in as many events as I can and hit the pavement!
